We strongly recommend you make an appointment so that Cristina can meet you personally, get to know you and your event. You will also have the opportunity to ask any specific questions and see Cristina’s portfolio as well as her many spectacular display cakes.
When you arrive at your first meeting we encourage you to bring as much information about your event as possible. This includes pictures, design ideas, colour samples, event venue, guest list numbers etc. You will also get to choose from the list of Dolce Idea cake flavours or make a special request for one (consideration will be given to month of year and season). Since each cake is customized let us know a little bit about the person receiving the cake (hobbies, favorite color, sport team etc.) Dolce Idea is committed to giving you what you want - so be creative and come prepared!
After your first meeting, Cristina will then take your ideas and sketch out your cake. This is when Cristina’s true artistry and creativity come to life. Cristina will sketch out a variety of ideas for your cake, as well as intricate details that will be used in decorating it. Once this is complete, you will then be contacted to schedule your second and most delicious meeting!
At your second meeting, you will have the opportunity to taste complimentary samples of the flavour(s) you would like for your cake. You will be able to request up to 4 of Dolce Idea’s cake flavours. This is an important part of the ordering process. It is here that you will truly understand what sets Dolce Idea’s cakes apart from the rest. All of Dolce Idea’s cakes are made with only the finest and freshest ingredients. Apart from being impressively unique and artistically creative, Dolce Idea’s cakes are sumptuous and made with passion and pride.
Once you have chosen a design and flavour(s), the process to ordering a Dolce Idea cake can now be finalized. At your second meeting Dolce Idea will start a contract for you outlining all the details discussed in the meetings (serving numbers, design, flavour, event information, price etc.) A 50% deposit must be left at the time of signing the contract and the remainder must be paid no later than 5 business days prior to the event. Dolce Idea does not accept VISA or MASTERCARD. Please have cash or a cheque payable to Dolce Idea.
All orders can be picked up or delivered by Dolce Idea to the event location. Delivery charges within Vaughan start at $20.00. Charges outside of Vaughan to be determined by location. Sorry but our cakes are not suitable for shipping air or land freight. Please make sure that if you are picking up your cake that you take into consideration weather conditions, size and frailty of the cake and your given time for pick up. Cristina has many cakes to deliver and have picked up in a day, please be punctual for pickup or notify Cristina via phone should you be running late.
